Join the Drawdown Georgia Business Compact

Be a leader in demonstrating climate action for a net-zero future. Compact members are thought leaders and innovators committed to collaborating to reduce emissions, elevate equity, increase economic opportunity, and safeguard environmental and public health.

Compact participants commit to supporting the statewide achievement of net zero emissions by 2050 through individual and collective action that advances just and sustainable outcomes.

While Compact members set unique goals to address carbon reduction in a way that best fits their company’s challenges, collectively, we leverage Drawdown Georgia strategies to pursue our common state target.

What is expected from participants?

Compact Expectations

  • Commit to supporting the statewide achievement of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

  • Participate in one or more collaborative initiatives of the Compact.

  • Report annually on activities undertaken to support the statewide target.

  • Contribute funds annually to sustain the foundational support to the Compact.

“We are active in the electricity subgroup, helping to lead discussions on one of the potential projects and providing some industry-specific guidance on the other potential project. In addition to these efforts within the Compact, we have had a number of conversations with other Compact members about emissions related to their company’s energy consumption (Scope 2 emissions) and evaluating how photovoltaic (PV) solar energy could be a solution to reducing their Scope 2 emissions. In fact, we are currently working closely with a Compact member to potentially develop new PV solar energy projects within the U.S. to help completely offset their Scope 2 emissions."
